Working as part of a team, the Project Manager will provide overall support for Construction Projects in the City of Calgary and surrounding area. Primary responsibility of this position will be project management, establishing preliminary construction schedules, procurement of materials, coordinating subcontractors, reconciling quantities, and preparing progress billings. Extended responsibilities will be the accurate and timely preparation of cost estimates and proposals.
The Ideal Candidate for this position will possess the following:
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5+ years of project management experience or a combination of field and estimating.
- CET or P.Eng. preferred; however, a combination of relevant education and heavy construction experience will be considered.
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or intent to pursue certification is an asset.
- Competency at reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
- Experience supervising construction crew using collaborative and results oriented approach.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
